First, does your phone have liquid or physical damage? If your phone has liquid or physical damage, unfortunately, it's not covered by warranty. If you're enrolled in AT&T Mobile Insurance, Protection Pack, or Multi-Device Protection Pack, you can file your insurance claim online at phoneclaim.com/att or you can call Asurion at 888-562-8662. Remember, you must file your claim within days of the date it was damaged. Second, is your device defective? If your device has no physical or liquid damage, use the Troubleshoot & Resolve tool on att.com/devicetroubleshoot to determine whether your device is defective. Thirdly, determine if your device is within the warranty coverage period. If you originally purchased a new device, the warranty coverage is up to 365 days from the date of purchase. If you purchased an AT&T Certified Restored device, the warranty coverage is up to 90 days from the date of purchase. If you purchased an AT&T Certified Pre-Owned device, it doesn't have a warranty; you can return the device within 14 days of purchase. Please refer to your original receipt for limited warranty coverage details. If your device is under warranty, then you have a few options. For Apple devices, please call 1-800-myiPhone. For non-Apple devices, call AT&T Warranty at 800-331-0500. Remember, if your device isn't under warranty, or you'd simply like to upgrade, you can also shop for a replacement device online at att.com or visit an AT&T store. FYI made a video advising to always keep track when mailing your damage cellphone device to ASURION. If you don't keep proof of mailing you will regret it!

I shattered the screen of my shiny, beloved Note8, and took Asurion up on their replacement claim process that started in the My Verizon app. Very fast and easy. I'm mad at myself, for sure, but very happy with Asurion! I even called and asked about the s-pen in the device i was returning, and they said to keep it! :D 199 == New device, extra S pen, extra charger, to doorstep in 2 days.
