One of the scariest and most frustrating things about narcissistic abuse is when we constantly have triggers going off. If we see someone who looks like the narcissist, a car like theirs or something we associate with them, it is usual to be flooded with traumatized feelings. Will time lessen these triggers and hopefully take them away altogether? Or, is this something we just have to learn to live with? Fortunately, there is a way to turn your triggered moments into a way to become free from abuse, and even to no longer EVER experience triggers. Find out how to in this week’s Thriver TV episode. Losing your voice, giving up on your dreams, believing you were defective, being terrified that every time you tried to assert yourself that there was a price to pay, and no longer knowing how to make your life work, because of handing your power away in an attempt to get this person to stop abusing you. The narcissist’s conditioning is a serious issue and it's common, and there is a definite recovery process that we need to make in order to recover from it. Many people believe that there is no coming back from the abuse that a narcissist has implanted into our being and our brains, but I can assure you that there is, and that is what this Thriver TV topic is all about. In this first part of a two parts series, we will look at the 5 major trauma programs that our Inner Identity takes on as a result of narcissistic abuse, and once we have this groundwork in place you will understand exactly how the narcissist has managed to affect your mind, heart and soul so severely and why it's been so difficult to pick yourself up and move on with your life. I truly can’t tell you how often people have shared with me the terrible trauma of losing the best years of their life to a narcissist. Things like giving up their career, missing out on children, losing all of their resources and their health and years. It is very common to lose everything as well as ourselves to narcissists at mid-life onwards. In this episode I share with you HOW to achieve your Thriver comeback from this, as well as incredible true stories that I know will inspire you to believe (at any age) your very best years are yet to come.
Covert narcissists are amongst the sneakiest, most dangerous narcissists of all because they operate like stealth bombers. Being connected with a covert narcissist is no less than experiencing psychological warfare. If you are in a relationship with a covert narcissist, it would be usual for you to feel incredibly unsafe and on edge, and to start checking up, investigating him or her, and feeling like you are losing their mind. How is the covert narcissist different to the more overt, classic type of narcissist? Why is it so many people may NOT even know (for a long time) that this person even IS a narcissist? If you know you have had a tendency towards covert narcissists, or are in a relationship with one now – or even if you are not sure exactly what a ‘covert narcissist’ is – I can’t recommend that you watch this Thriver Tv Episode enough. One of the most damaging effects of narcissistic abuse is that our self-worth, self-esteem, and belief in ourselves is smashed to pieces. After being narcissistically abused, not only do we doubt that we are lovable, desirable, capable or adequate, we even doubt our ability to be vertical, survive our wounds or live as a human being on this planet in a way that is not tormenting beyond belief. So today, in this brand-new episode of Thriver TV, I want to grant you 5 ways that you can start rebuilding your self-worth after narcissistic abuse. I hope you enjoy this episode and that it is a key to grant you the TRUE formula to claim incredible self-belief: Join Us On The Blog And Read 100's Of Free Articles: https://blog.melanietoniaevans.com/ FREE 16 Day Recovery Course: https://melanietoniaevans.com/freestarterpackage Learn How To Become A NARP Member: https://melanietoniaevans.com/narp
Laying boundaries with a narcissist takes a whole different approach and it involves this – detaching. If we are feeling hooked by a narcissist's actions, it is because we are holding narcissists responsible for our well-being, security, survival, approval and worth (which they are not doing for us). Until we take responsibility for those commodities ourselves, we are devastated, highly triggered and deeply upset. From this triggered state is it quite common to act upon our emotional charge. This is when we say “NO! I don’t like that behaviour and you need to change it.” When we do this, we are not laying boundaries, we are simply enmeshing ourselves deeper to the narcissist in the hope that they will change. If you find yourself trapped in pain with a narcissist, detachment is vital in order to create your own life and well-being. When the narcissist still lives on inside of them – the abusive voice in their head, the reoccurring nightmares … and the feeling like the narcissist is coursing through their veins like shards of ice, or a foul black ink. In my experience with this, and from helping thousands of people for many years recover as well, I know how REAL this psychic phenomenon is … and how hard it is to get free from it. That is until we know HOW to. That is what today’s episode is all about – HOW we get free for the psychic entrapments once and for all, and I can’t wait to share it with you:
