How do you get the clearest, most fluid animation in a 2D game and make it work with responsive gameplay? This talk from GDC 2014's Animation Bootcamp features Mariel Cartwright explaining how Skullgirls was animated. It covers the importance of strong key frames, anticipation and timing, and how you can effectively get these principles across when your designer says only have six frames to deliver a punch. GDC talks cover a range of developmental topics including game design, programming, audio, visual arts, business management, production, online games, and much more. We post a fresh GDC video every weekday. Subscribe to the channel to stay on top of regular updates, and check out GDC Vault for thousands of more in-depth talks from our archives. This is my second compilation, showcasing my favourite fluid simulations on YouTube. I wanted this one to be even more realistic, so I haven't included OpenGL clips like last time, only rendered clips. I looked for the most realistic and lifelike clips I could find, and mainly used simulations of real life things: chocolate, water features, and animations using environment maps to get a realistic look. I’ve also includes some of my own videos from an upcoming fluid comparison video, on how to render the most realistic fluid in Blender with things like HDR lighting and compositing. Make sure to subscribe if you want to get updated when that is finished. I’d like to say thank you to everyone who releases their videos under creative commons, and you can see a list of all the clips that went into this if you click “attributions” below. Special thanks also go to: Jesse Stiller (http://bit.ly/1Cca7Cj) for his great clip that used octane render for fluid particles. eMirage (http://bit.ly/1CSgkpN) for the beautiful water lily clips scene I'd also like to thank Areandres3D (http://bit.ly/1DhhOv3) and intotheVOiD (http://bit.ly/1Fz5UML) for sharing the .blend files to their really nice fluid simulation scenes, which I used for some of the clips here which I rendered myself. This video's a lot more for those of us interested in the animation itself. You never see such fluid movement like this on the show, almost like what you'd see in a Disney movie or something. The Simpsons is copyrighted 1988-Present material, owned by FOX. I claim no ownership to the material present in this video.
Liquid Animation Tutorial I didn't explain how to use software, the point of this tutorial is to understand principle of creating animation like this. Sry for my perfect english. Follow me: https://www.instagram.com/eduard_ov/ https://dribbble.com/eduard_ov https://www.behance.net/eduard_ov
This was a challenge to myself to see how quickly I could make a video, which is 6 hours. People read descriptions, apparently. Okay, if you do, I want you to respond to my Twitter saying "best vid ever" and I'll love you.
